Will Troutman Christian Therapist

I believe that we all have those moments in life where we feel we are at a crossroads.

Some might call it “feeling stuck”, others may go as far to say they feel hopeless. That’s why I believe counseling is such a vital service and truly believe in the value of a therapeutic experience. My goal is to foster a safe, non-judgmental and hospitable environment where clients can engage in a process of working through issues that are causing them distress. My desire is to meet each client where they are and develop a therapeutic relationship to support their ongoing growth. My approach is centered on integrating the truth we find in psychology with biblically based principles, as I’m led by the Holy Spirit.

My experience has been exclusive to private practice and have been practicing since 2010. My style is eclectic and creative. I try to adapt my approach depending on the client, and I draw from a number of different modalities. I have experience and training with theories such as CBT, person centered, family systems, existential and REBT. I’m trained in Prepare and Enrich, a marital assessment and have experience assessing ADHD.

Will graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2000 with a bachelors in psychology and received my MA in counseling from Columbia International University in 2011. He practices as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the State of North Carolina.

Will is married to his beautiful wife Sarah, and they have a dog named Lucy. He spends most of his free time hanging out with them, but also enjoys good comedy, the arts, tennis, golf, and any sport related to The University of South Carolina.
